Pre-Apprenticeship Maths Bridging Course

Overview

This course is designed for potential engineers wishing to enrol onto an apprenticeship, for example the Electrical Power Networks Engineer apprenticeship (EPNE). Aimed to bridge the gap in mathematical knowledge for new starters; here is a brief overview of what the course covers.

  • Transpose engineering formulae
  • Evaluate numbers raised to a power in the form of xn and x-n
  • Analyse straight line graphs
  • Evaluate linear simultaneous equations
  • Use quadratic equations to resolve engineering problems
  • Analyse logarithms and their application in engineering systems
  • Evaluate the properties of a circle
  • Use trigonometry in engineering applications
  • Introduction to complex numbers
  • Perform differential coefficient and gradient of a curve (y = f(x)) calculations

Individuals looking to enrol should have a basic level of maths GCSE grade 4 (C) or equivalent. For further information please contact our dedicated training team at eatraining@eatechnology.com.
